Home, auto, business and life, quoted from twelve carriers by two agents who answer the phone. You make one call. We do the comparing, and we tell you what we found.
Four lines, plain sentences, and the part people usually miss.
Every policy has a paragraph nobody reads until the day it matters. We read it first. Here is what each line does, and the thing we check for that the last agent probably did not mention.
Home & renters
Your house, what is in it, and what happens if someone is hurt on the porch. Renters covers the same, minus the building, for about the price of one takeout order a month.
Usually missedReplacement cost versus actual cash value. The cheaper one pays what your ten-year-old roof was worth, not what a new roof costs.
Auto
The liability the state requires, plus the collision and comprehensive that actually fix your car. We check whether your limits would survive one bad afternoon on Route 9.
Usually missedUninsured motorist coverage. About one driver in eight around here carries nothing, and this is the part that pays when they hit you.
Business
General liability, property, and the workers' comp you need the day you hire someone. Contractors, shops, and the eleven food trucks in the county: we have written all of them.
Usually missedBusiness interruption. It is not the fire that closes a shop for good. It is four months of rent with no register ringing.
Life
Term life for the years the mortgage and the kids overlap. No medical exam for most healthy applicants under fifty, and we say so up front instead of after the paperwork.
Usually missedThe policy through work. It is usually one year of salary, and it ends the day you leave the job.
12
Twelve carriers quoted on every policy. A captive agent has one.
Why independent
A captive agent sells one company. We sell you the right one.
We compare carriers.
Twelve of them, side by side, on your actual house and your actual driving record. The lowest price is not always the best policy, and when it is not, we tell you which one to pick anyway.
We get paid the same either way.
Our commission does not change with the carrier we recommend. There is no reason for us to steer you, so we do not. If two quotes are close, we say which one we would buy for our own house.
We stay when you file a claim.
You call us, not a 1-800 number. We know the adjusters by name, we know which ones need a second call on a Tuesday, and we make that call. The policy is the product; the claim is the proof.
Get a quote
Fifteen minutes on the phone. That is the whole process.
Call or email, and one of us will ask you a dozen questions and come back with numbers from every carrier that wants your business. No obligation, no follow-up drip, and no one else gets your number.
Our promise: if we cannot beat what you have, we will say so and tell you why. Around one caller in five keeps their current policy, and we still walk them through it.
Have these ready
Three things make the call faster. None of them are required.
01
Your current declarations page
The one- or two-page summary your carrier mails at renewal. It tells us what you have, so we quote apples to apples.
02
Licenses and VINs for every driver
Everyone in the house who drives. A photo of each registration is enough.
03
Roof age and any updates
Roof, furnace, wiring, plumbing. Newer systems earn real discounts, and most people forget to mention them.
When you have a claim
Call us first. We take it from there.
A claim is the only day your insurance actually matters, so it is the part we are most careful about. Here is exactly what happens, in order.
1
Call us first.
Before the carrier, before the body shop, before you sign anything. We will tell you whether filing makes sense, what to photograph, and what to leave alone.
2
We call the carrier.
We open the claim, explain your coverage back to you in plain words, and make sure the adjuster has everything on the first pass so there is no second one.
3
We follow it through.
Weekly check-ins until the check clears. If the estimate comes in short, we say so and push back. That is what the commission is for.
After hours, (555) 555-0141 reaches whichever of us is on call. A tree through the roof does not wait for Monday morning, and neither do we.
The agents
Two people, both licensed, both here since the first policy.
No call center, no rotating account manager. The person who quotes you is the person who picks up when you call back in March.

Grew up over his father's hardware store on Merchant Street, and still notices the roof on every house he drives past.
Our old agent was a website. Ruth found the hail exclusion in our policy before the storm did, moved us to a carrier that covered it, and the claim paid in nine days.
Marcus quoted the bakery and our house on the same call and saved us about nine hundred dollars a year. When the walk-in cooler died, he answered on a Sunday.

Twelve carriers. One call. Fifteen minutes.
Bring your declarations page and we will bring the numbers. If yours is already the best deal in the county, we will be the ones to tell you.
